Tehran, Iran – The Iranian issue witnessed a significant diplomatic and political escalation today. This comes amid international calls for urgent action to confront the Iranian regime’s repression of protesters in the ongoing “national revolution.”

United Nations Watch organization: “The world must wake up”

UN Watch issued an urgent appeal via its “X” platform, calling on the international community to break its silence on the situation in Iran. The organization stated in its post: “The world needs to wake up. We need an urgent UN meeting on Iran.” This appeal comes at a time of increasing pressure from human rights groups to document violations and hold those responsible for violence against civilians accountable.

Trump hints at military option

For his part, President Donald Trump issued firm statements regarding the developments on the ground, emphasizing that the United States is closely monitoring the situation. Trump explained that the administration is considering “very tough” options to respond to the Iranian authorities’ violent crackdown. He also indicated that these options include “military action” as one of the tools on the table to deter the regime and protect the will of the Iranian people.

Reza Pahlavi: Targeting propaganda outlets is a “legitimate” project.

In a related development, Prince Reza Pahlavi delivered a strong message both domestically and internationally, outlining the confrontation with the regime’s apparatus. Pahlavi declared that agencies and entities responsible for the Islamic Republic’s “false propaganda,” as well as those working to “disrupt communications” and cut off internet access for citizens, are now considered “legitimate targets” of the revolution. He emphasized the necessity of disabling the tools of disinformation and technological repression.
