Former British Defense Secretary ignites controversy: “Crimea should be rendered uninhabitable and its bridge bombed.”

This call comes at a sensitive time, after former US President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of recognizing Crimea as Russian territory as part of a deal to end the war, a move that was met with widespread criticism from Ukraine.

London, United Kingdom – Former British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace made fiery remarks at the Warsaw Security Forum. He called for Ukraine to be able to launch long-range strikes against Crimea, arguing it should be “made uninhabitable.”

Wallace confirmed that German Taurus missiles are capable of striking the vital Crimean bridge. They can cut off supply routes to Russian forces.

This call comes at a sensitive time. It follows former US President Donald Trump hinting at the possibility of recognizing Crimea as Russian territory as part of a deal to end the war. This move was met with widespread criticism from Ukraine.

For its part, Moscow responded through Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. They asserted that these Western statements do not serve any peace efforts. Instead, they further complicate the situation and pour oil on the fire of a war that has been raging for more than two years.
