Cairo, Egypt – The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States. Their meeting addressed ways to enhance joint Arab cooperation and coordinate efforts to confront regional and international challenges.
The two sides discussed mechanisms to support collective Arab action and the importance of continued consultation and coordination among Arab states on various issues of common interest, in order to strengthen Arab solidarity and maintain the security and stability of the region.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and supporting initiatives aimed at developing joint Arab action and expanding political, economic, and developmental cooperation to serve the interests of Arab states.
The meeting also addressed several regional developments, with both sides stressing the need to intensify Arab coordination and prioritize dialogue and cooperation to confront current challenges, thereby contributing to consolidating security and stability and fulfilling the aspirations of the Arab peoples.
This meeting comes within the framework of the periodic consultations held by the League of Arab States with its member states, underscoring the importance of unifying Arab positions and strengthening joint action in the face of regional and international developments.
