Cairo, Egypt – Egypt renewed its complete and full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing strong condemnation of the attack targeting a Saudi oil tanker, in a move reflecting deep strategic ties and Cairo’s commitment to regional security and stability.

Firm Condemnation and Rejection of International Violations

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack on the Saudi oil tanker, reaffirming its categorical rejection of all attacks targeting civilian facilities and transport means.

Cairo stressed that such acts constitute a flagrant violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security, highlighting the necessity of holding those responsible accountable to ensure the protection of regional security and maritime passages.

Freedom of Navigation and Protecting Global Trade

Egypt emphasized the importance of guaranteeing and protecting freedom of navigation across all regional straits and maritime passages, noting that the security of global trade routes is a shared responsibility requiring respect for international law.

It added that any targeting of navigation or civilian transport threatens the stability of the global economy and supply chains, necessitating a firm international stance and continuous coordination to support regional stability.
