Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned today the renewed Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait. Amman described these acts as “brutal aggressions” and a flagrant violation of state sovereignty, reiterating its firm rejection of any actions that threaten regional security and stability.
Condemnation of Attacks on Critical Infrastructure
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry emphasized in its statement that targeting power plants and water desalination facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait constitutes a dangerous escalation that directly contradicts the rules of international law. The Ministry pointed out that such actions undermine the security of nations and the integrity of their vital infrastructure, stressing the necessity of respecting national sovereignty and safeguarding security.
Absolute Solidarity and Support for National Measures
Jordan reaffirmed its steadfast position of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait in the face of any threats targeting their security and national stability. The Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s total support for all measures taken by the two brotherly nations to protect their territories, safeguard their citizens, and maintain their national security.
Call for De-escalation: The Jordanian Foreign Ministry called for an immediate halt to all military actions that exacerbate regional tensions. It stressed the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions as the only path to enhancing regional security and stability, thereby sparing the region from the risks of escalation and its repercussions on international peace and security.
