Doha, Qatar – The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Iranian attacks that recently targeted Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. It affirmed that these assaults represent a clear violation of the sovereignty of the three countries and a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability.
Clear Condemnation and Full Solidarity
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in an official statement cited by “agencies” and followed by “Voice of the Emirates,” Doha’s full solidarity with Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. It stressed its support for all measures taken by these countries to protect their security and the safety of their territories and citizens.
The Ministry also expressed its categorical rejection of any military actions or attacks that would compromise the sovereignty of states or threaten their national security. This stance reflects Qatar’s firm commitment to supporting the stability of its Arab and Gulf surroundings against current challenges.
Call for Diplomatic Solutions
The State of Qatar renewed its explicit call for the necessity of exercising restraint and prioritizing diplomatic solutions and dialogue among all parties. It warned that continued military escalation would unprecedentedly exacerbate regional tensions.
It pointed out that this continuous escalation increases the direct risks threatening the security and stability of the entire Gulf and Middle East region. These warnings come amidst highly sensitive regional circumstances that require joint coordination to avoid a wider conflict.
Respect for Law and Good Neighborliness
The Qatari statement heavily emphasized the utmost importance of respecting the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness in relations between states. It called on all active parties to avoid any unilateral steps that could widen the current conflict.
The Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by affirming serious work to support all international and regional efforts aimed at de-escalation. These diplomatic efforts primarily aim to preserve security and stability in the region and spare its peoples the scourges of war.
