Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli army chief of staff confirmed that his forces are fully prepared to launch a swift attack should the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon be violated.

He also emphasized the continued military readiness to confront any developments on the northern border.

Emphasis on military readiness

The Israeli army chief of staff stated that the army maintains a high level of operational readiness,

prepared to intervene immediately should any ceasefire violation be detected.

He emphasized that the forces are continuously monitoring the situation on the ground.

Warning against breaching the agreement

The Chief of Staff indicated that any violation of the ceasefire agreement would be met with a swift response.

This is being done within the framework of what he described as maintaining

Israel’s security and preventing a deterioration of the security situation on the Lebanese front.

Watch for border developments

The Israeli army chief of staff’s remarks come amid continued tensions on the border between Israel and Lebanon.

This is occurring against a backdrop of regional and international efforts to maintain

the ceasefire agreement and prevent a slide into renewed military confrontation.
