Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance organized a specialized training course for imams, preachers, and muezzins in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of its programs aimed at supporting Islamic work and enhancing the efficiency of da’wah personnel in various countries around the world.
The course saw the participation of a number of imams, preachers, and muezzins from various regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It included a series of lectures and lessons focusing on creed, jurisprudence, and the rulings pertaining to leading prayers and delivering sermons. In addition, it covered communication skills with worshippers and methods of da’wah (Islamic outreach) with wisdom and good counsel.
The course also aimed to raise the scientific and professional level of the participants, enabling them to effectively carry out their mission of spreading the faith. Furthermore, it aimed to promote the values of moderation and centrism, and to disseminate the concepts of tolerance and coexistence, thereby contributing to the service of Muslim communities and the consolidation of sound Islamic values.
The organizers of the course affirmed that this initiative is part of a series of training and educational programs implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in several countries, in cooperation with official Islamic bodies, to develop the capabilities of imams, preachers, and muezzins. Furthermore, it aims to facilitate the exchange of scholarly and da’wah (missionary) expertise, thereby strengthening their role in serving Islam and Muslims.
The course concluded with participants praising its academic content and organization. They emphasized the importance of continuing such programs, which contribute to qualifying da’wah personnel and enhancing their performance. This, in turn, helps meet the needs of Muslim communities worldwide.
