Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, discussed the development path of UAE-Chadian relations. In various fields, especially economic, trade, development, renewable energy and other vital aspects. In a way that serves the common interests and development priorities of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.
This came during His Highness’s reception of the Chadian President, who is on a working visit to the Emirates.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed their keenness to continue strengthening their development cooperation and build on the development achieved in the relations between the two countries, which extend back more than five decades. This is based on their vision of building development partnerships that contribute to ensuring a better future for generations and achieving prosperity and development for their people.
Economic Partnership Agreement
The meeting touched on the ongoing negotiations of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries. After its signing, it will constitute an important framework for advancing economic relations at the level of the public and private sectors in the two countries.
His Highness and the President of Chad also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The Chadian President arrived in the country, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office, was at the forefront of those receiving him at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi.
