Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese President Joseph Aoun affirmed that the Gulf states’ stances toward Lebanon reflect the depth of the fraternal and historical ties that bind the two sides.
He also praised the ongoing support provided by the Gulf states to Lebanon at various levels,
which he described as a crucial pillar for strengthening stability and advancing the recovery process.
Mutual respect and common interests
The Lebanese president explained that Lebanese-Gulf relations are based on mutual respect and shared interests.
He also emphasized his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of developing partnerships in the political, economic,
and investment fields, in a way that serves the interests of all parties.
Establishing security and stability and achieving development
The Lebanese president noted that the current phase requires concerted Arab efforts to confront regional challenges.
He also stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation to contribute
to consolidating security and stability and achieving sustainable development in the region.
He further expressed his appreciation for the Gulf states’ supportive stances towards Lebanon.
He affirmed that these stances reflect the historical and fraternal ties between Arab peoples
and contribute to strengthening trust and opening new horizons for cooperation in the coming period.
