  • US Central Command denies Tehran’s claims

Manama, Bahrain – The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced in an official statement that Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through treacherous missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom. The BDF explained that, with unwavering resolve and high combat readiness, Bahraini air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed three missiles and several enemy drones.

The statement affirmed that all its weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and defensive preparedness. This is in order to protect the security and sovereignty of the country.

Warnings to citizens

In the interest of public safety, the General Command urged citizens and residents to exercise extreme caution. It stressed the absolute necessity of refraining from approaching or touching any unfamiliar or suspicious objects resulting from the remnants of this brutal Iranian attack. It emphasized the importance of reporting such objects immediately.

The Command reassured everyone that the personnel of the Royal Field Engineering Unit are fully prepared to handle these explosive devices safely and professionally. This is to ensure public safety.

The statement also emphasized that the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. The Command expressed its pride in the vigilance of its brave personnel in performing their sacred national duty to defend the homeland.

US Central Command denies Tehran’s claims

Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) refuted Tehran’s claims of successful attacks, in which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) alleged that it targeted the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain with missiles and drones. It also claimed to have targeted another US airbase in the region.

In a decisive statement, CENTCOM asserted that these Iranian claims are entirely false and baseless.

CENTCOM explained that the reality on the ground confirms that all Iranian attacks against U.S. forces in the region have been a complete failure and achieved none of their objectives. It further emphasized that U.S. forces remain at the highest level of vigilance and fully prepared to defend themselves and their allies against any unprovoked Iranian aggression that threatens maritime security and regional stability.
