  • Lebanon Supporting the military establishment

Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called for the unity of all Lebanese under one state and one army.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening state institutions to confront the political and security challenges facing the country.

Emphasis on the role of the state

The Prime Minister stressed that the current phase requires broad national unity and concerted efforts to support Lebanon state institutions,

foremost among them the army, as the primary guarantor of internal stability and the protection of national sovereignty.

He explained that Lebanon is facing delicate circumstances that demand a unified stance, free from political divisions.

This will enable the state to fully play its role in enforcing stability and protecting citizens in all regions.

Lebanon Supporting the military establishment

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Lebanese Army is the cornerstone of national security,

emphasizing the need to support and empower it to carry out its duties throughout Lebanon.

This is particularly crucial given the ongoing security tensions along the southern border.

These statements come at a time when Lebanon is witnessing a continuous military escalation

and increasing humanitarian repercussions as a result of the ongoing military operations in several areas.
