  • Diplomatic moves to contain the crisis

Tel Aviv, Israel – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli forces had crossed the Litani River in southern Lebanon,

a move reflecting a new escalation in the ongoing military operations on the Lebanese front.

Netanyahu stated, in remarks carried by Israeli media, that the Israeli army is continuing its military operations against Hezbollah positions and targets.

He emphasized that Israeli forces are acting in accordance with what he described as “security and military considerations” to protect Israel.

Escalation on the ground in southern Lebanon

Netanyahu’s announcement comes amid escalating clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.

Over the past few days, the border region has witnessed intense exchanges of fire, airstrikes, and military operations.

Recent developments indicate a widening scope of Israeli operations within Lebanese territory.

There are fears that the situation could escalate into a broader confrontation that could destabilize the entire region.

The Israeli statements have sparked growing concern in regional and international circles,

particularly given the ongoing military operations and the rising tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Diplomatic moves to contain the crisis

International and UN bodies are closely monitoring developments on the ground.

There are repeated calls for de-escalation, restraint, and adherence to political and diplomatic solutions to prevent the conflict from widening.

Alongside the military developments, international diplomatic efforts continue to contain the escalation between Lebanon and Israel.

The United States and several other international parties are leading intensive contacts to prevent a further deterioration of the situation.

These efforts coincide with security meetings and indirect talks

aimed at consolidating the ceasefire and reducing the escalating tensions on Lebanon’s southern border.
