Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli military announced today that it had dismantled a Hezbollah anti-tank weapons cache in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the Israeli military said its forces discovered the cache during field operations in the area.
It added that the cache contained anti-tank weapons and ammunition used in attacks against Israeli forces.
Ongoing military operations
The Israeli military explained that the operation is part of ongoing military activity along Lebanon’s southern border.
Tensions have been high between the two sides, with exchanges of fire occurring frequently in recent times.
The military added that Israeli forces conducted search and raid operations at several locations,
which it claims are linked to Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.
Tensions escalate on the border
The Lebanese-Israeli border has witnessed ongoing tension for months,
with exchanges of fire, airstrikes, and military operations between Israel and Hezbollah.
This has resulted in deaths, injuries, and widespread damage in southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
International and regional concerns are growing about the potential for a wider confrontation between the two sides,
given the continued military operations and exchanges of fire.
This comes amidst international diplomatic efforts aimed at consolidating
the cessation of hostilities and preventing the situation from escalating into a full-blown war.
