Caracas, Venezuela – Venezuelan authorities have deported a close associate of President Nicolás Maduro to the United States in a move described as surprising. This comes amidst a tense political and security climate in the country and strained relations between Caracas and Washington.

Informed sources indicated that the deportation was carried out swiftly in recent hours, with official silence regarding the details of the decision and the immediate reasons behind it. The Venezuelan government has yet to issue a detailed statement explaining the circumstances of the move.

Political analysts suggest the decision may be linked to security concerns or undisclosed understandings between the two sides, at a time when the United States continues to pressure the Maduro government through economic sanctions and diplomatic measures.

These developments come amid escalating internal tensions in Venezuela, with the continued sharp political divide between the government and the opposition, and mounting international pressure on the Maduro regime, particularly regarding human rights, elections, and the struggling economy.
