Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and its full backing of measures aimed at protecting security and stability in the region.
This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting regional security
amidst rapidly evolving regional developments and escalating security challenges.
Condemnation of the attacks on Gulf states
The Saudi Cabinet condemned the attacks targeting the territories and waters of the UAE, Qatar,
and Kuwait, affirming that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is a single, interconnected, and indivisible system.
The Cabinet stressed that these attacks pose a direct threat to regional stability,
calling for restraint and prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions.
The Cabinet also affirmed the continued coordination among the GCC states
to strengthen the collective security system and protect the national sovereignty of each country,
a coordination that reflects the importance of Saudi Arabia’s regional efforts.
At the same time, Saudi Arabia is closely monitoring developments in the region to ensure stability.
Strengthening international cooperation and partnerships
The Council reviewed the latest developments in cooperation between the Kingdom and several brotherly
and friendly nations, commending the outcomes of the third meeting of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council.
This meeting contributed to expanding bilateral relations in the fields of economy, energy, investment, and technology.
The Council also emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships with multilateral organizations,
particularly in the areas of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and addressing climate change.
In light of these developments, Saudi Arabia affirms its commitment to continuing its international partnerships.
Development, educational, and economic decisions
The Council reviewed the quarterly report on the performance of the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 2026,
which reflected continued expansion in spending on vital sectors, most notably health, education, infrastructure, and social services.
The Council also approved the establishment of the “Kingdom University” in Riyadh,
with the aim of supporting higher education and developing the scientific research environment.
In addition, the Council approved several international memoranda of understanding
in the fields of renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and environmental protection,
which will enhance the path to sustainable development. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia continues to promote comprehensive development.
The Saudi Council of Ministers concluded its session by affirming the Kingdom’s continued commitment
to its approach of supporting regional stability.
Moreover, the Kingdom will continue to expand international cooperation and strengthen its position
as an active force in achieving balance and development in the region.
