Manama, Bahrain – The Bahraini Ministry of Defence announced that the armed forces successfully thwarted an illegal infiltration attempt across the Kingdom’s maritime borders.
This resulted in the arrest of four individuals who attempted to enter the country illegally.
Detecting and thwarting a maritime infiltration operation
The official spokesperson for the Bahraini Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan,
stated that the armed forces successfully detected and thwarted a maritime infiltration attempt in Bahraini territorial waters
Colonel Al-Atwan explained that the high level of vigilance displayed by the maritime security personnel enabled
them to apprehend the four infiltrators as they attempted to enter the Kingdom’s territory.
He added that they were detained and immediately transferred to the relevant authorities
for further investigation and to take the necessary legal measures against them.
Rapid response to security breaches
The official spokesperson emphasized that the Bahraini Armed Forces continue to resolutely perform
their duties in protecting the borders and national sovereignty.
He affirmed that the combat readiness of the defense units ensures a swift response to any security breaches.
In a related context, the General Staff of the Army issued an appeal to citizens and residents,
urging them to exercise caution and accuracy in disseminating news related to national security.
It also called upon everyone to obtain information only from official sources and to refrain from spreading rumors
or circulating inaccurate information on social media platforms, in order to ensure security and protect civil peace.
