Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The extraordinary consultative summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) begins today, Tuesday, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The summit aims to discuss the repercussions of the military escalation in the region and to unify ranks in the face of common threats to the security and stability of the GCC member states.

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah departed for Saudi Arabia to head Kuwait’s delegation to the summit.

Kuwait’s participation comes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Gulf solidarity and promote dialogue to discuss critical issues affecting maritime security and regional stability. This comes amidst the economic and political uncertainty imposed by the ongoing war.
