Tel Aviv, Israel – Media reports indicate that Israel intends to implement a so-called “yellow line” in southern Lebanon, similar to the model used in the Gaza Strip. This comes after its forces seized control of border areas.

According to Israeli Army Radio, approximately 55 Lebanese villages are now under Israeli control. Their residents are currently barred from returning. This comes amidst ongoing military operations in the region.

This measure involves establishing a security buffer zone extending several kilometers into Lebanese territory, with strict restrictions on movement. This raises concerns about widespread humanitarian and security repercussions in southern Lebanon.
