Beijing, China – The Chinese president called for enhanced strategic coordination between Beijing and Moscow, citing the need to “protect common interests and confront escalating international pressures and challenges.”
In official remarks, the Chinese president emphasized that relations between China and Russia are at a stage requiring greater cooperation and understanding on political, economic, and security issues. He also noted that the rapid changes in the international system necessitate that both sides align their positions on matters of mutual concern.
He stressed the importance of continued consultation and coordination in international forums to ensure global stability and protect the interests of both countries, particularly in the face of what he described as attempts to reshape the balance of power.
This call comes at a time when relations between Beijing and Moscow have witnessed increasing rapprochement in recent years, especially amid escalating geopolitical tensions between East and West, economic sanctions imposed on Russia, and strategic competition between China and the United States.
