Amman, Jordan – During two separate phone calls with the presidents of the Czech Republic and Finland, King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of de-escalating tensions in the region.

He also called on the international community to take immediate action to ensure security and stability and prevent any escalation that could exacerbate the crisis.

The King noted that the current situation requires close international cooperation to minimize risks to civilians and property. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of maintaining a balance of power in the region.

He also affirmed that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way to avoid sliding into wider conflicts.

International community solidarity

King Abdullah II added that Jordan continues its efforts to engage with all relevant parties to de-escalate tensions.

He also emphasized that regional stability is not an option but a strategic imperative requiring international solidarity.

These contacts come at a time of heightened regional tensions. This is amid concerns about the repercussions of the escalation on regional and international security, and its direct impact on energy markets and economic activity in the region.
