The President of the UAE and the President of the Swiss Confederation discuss strengthening bilateral relations

أبوظبي، الإمارات – بحث صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الإمارات، وغي بارميلان رئيس الاتحاد السويسري، مختلف جوانب العلاقات الثنائية وفرص تعزيزها خاصة في مجالات الاقتصاد والاستثمار والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة والذكاء الاصطناعي وغيرها.

During the meeting – which took place at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi – His Highness the President of the Emirates welcomed His Excellency Guy Parmelin and congratulated him on his election as President of the Swiss Confederation for the year 2026, looking forward to working with him to develop relations between the two countries and expand their horizons.

The meeting touched on the importance of the “Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit 2027”, which will be held in Geneva.

The UAE will head it in 2028.

In this context, His Highness stressed that interest in artificial intelligence and enhancing its use for development and common prosperity in the world represents a common denominator for the two countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of harnessing artificial intelligence technologies to find innovative solutions to confront common global challenges and contribute to building a prosperous and sustainable future for all.

They also stressed the mutual keenness to invest in all available opportunities to advance development relations between the two countries and push them forward for the good and development of their peoples.

The meeting addressed a number of issues of common interest, stressing the importance of strengthening the causes of peace and stability in the world through dialogue and diplomatic solutions to various crises.
