Dubai, UAE – The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in the country announced the arrangements for the official holiday on the occasion of the New Year 2026.
The authority explained in a statement issued today, Thursday, December 11, 2025, that Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be an official paid holiday for all employees of ministries and federal entities.
Friday, January 2, 2026, will be a remote working day for federal government employees.

The authority indicated that the decision to work remotely excludes jobs whose nature of work requires physical presence at workplaces.
