Dubai, UAE – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation is preparing to prepare food baskets containing more than 10 million meals.
As part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship, in support of the people of Gaza.
In cooperation with Operation “The Noble Knight 3”, which was launched by the UAE to provide humanitarian, relief, medical and shelter support to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air.
This comes as a translation of the UAE’s humanitarian message, its firm commitment to standing by our Palestinian brothers in various circumstances, and as a continuation of the support provided to the people of Gaza.
Each food basket is enough for a family of five people, for an entire week.
Meeting the needs of the people of Gaza
Each basket includes 20 items that meet the basic food needs of families in the Gaza Strip.
When approving the list of items, consideration was given to appropriate quantity, variety, high quality, and high nutritional value that suit different age groups.
When announcing last November 25, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation called for the launch of an initiative to equip the Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship.
With the aim of alleviating the suffering of the residents of the Gaza Strip and supporting them under the current difficult circumstances, all members of society in the UAE volunteered, participated in preparing meals, and supported the initiative.
This came during the event organized by the Foundation on December 7 at the Dubai Exhibition Center – Expo, via the website www.MBRShip.ae.

The new food support comes as an extension of the assistance provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation to Palestinians in Gaza.
In January 2024, the Foundation announced a contribution of 43 million dirhams ($11.7 million) in direct food aid to the Gaza Strip.
This aid benefits one million people, in cooperation with the World Food Programme.
