Washington, United States – One of Guatemala’s most notorious drugs traffickers is appearing in a U.S. court, following an international operation that culminated in his extradition to U.S. authorities.

The suspect, whom law enforcement agencies describe as the mastermind behind massive cocaine shipments

She was smuggling across the Mid-American coast towards the American market.

He faces a heavy list of charges including running a criminal organization

and coordinating smuggling operations across the sea.

According to investigative sources, the accused relied on speedboats

and complex sea routes to avoid detection.

This was before the American authorities were able to locate him

and formally request his extradition.

Illicit profits from drugs

The case documents indicate that his drug smuggling activity spanned years,

generating millions in illicit profits.

This was before his network was completely disrupted following his arrest.

The court is expected to hold successive sessions in the coming days.

Amid expectations of severe penalties if he is convicted,

Especially with the recent rise in cases related to cocaine smuggling across the Pacific Ocean.
