  • Play an active role

Kabul, Afghanistan – Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani wrote on the “X” platform that Afghanistan is going through a sensitive historical moment,

Overcoming the current crises requires “national consensus,

a redefinition of national interests, and a comprehensive dialogue.”

He affirmed his readiness to play a role in helping

the country out of its current predicament.

Crossroads

Ghani explained that Afghanistan has suffered from

a lack of lasting peace over the past four decades.

Crises of legitimacy, widespread corruption, internal wars,

and the collapse of government structures.

He pointed out that the country now stands at a crossroads:

“Either reform the current situation

“A smart exit from the crisis,

or a further slide into its depths.”

Ghani ..searching for solutions

Ghani added that the forced deportation of millions of migrants,

along with devastating earthquakes,

The latest military strike launched

by the Pakistani army inside Afghan territory,

This has worsened the situation and increased

the urgent need to find immediate solutions.

Play an active role

Ashraf Ghani emphasized that he is not seeking

any position or personal gain.

But he is ready, if the people want him to, to play an active role in getting

the country out of its crises and to offer constructive visions.

It is worth noting that Ghani has been living in the United Arab Emirates

since fleeing Afghanistan on August 24, 2021.
