Which has been launched by Russian forces against this region

since the beginning of the war, according to local and Ukrainian reports.

The airstrike came at a time when President Volodymyr Zelensky

was seeking to revive the peace negotiations process in Türkiye.

This came after diplomatic efforts reached a dead end.

This is an attempt to break the deadlock and restore tangible

progress towards resolving the conflict that has been ongoing since 2022.

Widespread destruction in Ukraine

Local authorities reported that the bombing targeted residential areas

and vital infrastructure, resulting in widespread destruction.

Many civilians were left under the rubble.

Meanwhile, rescue teams rushed to the disaster sites in Ukraine

to provide assistance and transport the injured to hospitals.

This attack reflects the continued escalation of Russian military operations in western Ukraine.

This is despite international pressure and ongoing diplomatic talks.

Ukrainian officials said the attacks were aimed at destabilizing civilian life.

Sending a message of pressure before any potential political steps.

Resume negotiations

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy continues his visit to Türkiye.

Senior Turkish officials met to discuss ways to resume the stalled negotiations.

This includes security guarantees and steps towards de-escalating military tensions.

Both sides hope to present new proposals that may help

break the current deadlock in the peace process.

These developments come at a time when Ukraine is witnessing

an escalation in air attacks on western cities.

This exacerbates the humanitarian challenges.

He is pressing the international community

to act quickly to alleviate civilian suffering.

And to put pressure on all parties to return to the negotiating table.
