Highlights
  • International support to promote African innovation
  • A diverse agenda for cooperation and investment

Tunisia – The Tunisian city of Sousse is preparing to host a leading technology event on the African continent: the first edition of the Global Artificial Intelligence Conference in Africa (GAICA 2025). The highly anticipated conference will take place from November 17 to 19, 2025, at the “Novation City” technology park, serving as a platform for innovation, investment opportunities, and entrepreneurship.

Extensive participation from experts and startups

The conference is expected to draw around 6,000 participants. These attendees represent a wide range of experts, specialists, and those interested in the transformations of artificial intelligence on both the African and global levels.

The event will also feature over 200 startups from Africa and around the world. These companies will showcase their latest technological innovations and seek new partners and investments to strengthen their position in the evolving digital market.

International support to promote African innovation

The conference is organized in partnership between Novation City and TPM Events. It enjoys significant support from international and local institutions, most notably the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Tunisian Deposits and Consignments Fund. This support underscores these institutions’ commitment to fostering an environment of innovation in Tunisia and Africa in general.

A diverse agenda for cooperation and investment

The GAICA 2025 conference represents a rare opportunity to bring together key players from the technology, business, and education sectors. The three days will feature a diverse range of activities, including interactive workshops and in-depth panel discussions on artificial intelligence issues.

Innovation exhibitions enable startups to showcase their projects to potential investors and leading experts.

In addition to showcasing advancements in artificial intelligence across the African continent, the event aims to foster cross-sector collaboration and stimulate technology-based entrepreneurial initiatives. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainability and digital transformation.

By hosting this major event, the city of Sousse aims to solidify its position as a regional and global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. It also seeks to establish itself as a key center for developing young talent in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
