The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces successfully carried out a targeted operation. The operation resulted in the elimination of a group of British mercenaries who were stationed in the Rubtsovsk sector, within the western front of military operations.
The ministry explained in its statement that the operation followed careful monitoring of the movements of the foreign group involved in supporting Ukrainian forces. It noted that the strike was carried out using high-precision weapons and resulted in the complete destruction of their positions.
The statement added that the mercenaries were involved in reconnaissance and fire coordination against Russian forces. Eliminating them represents a significant blow to the networks of foreign fighters operating in the region.
This operation comes amid the ongoing escalation on the eastern and western fronts. Moscow maintains that the presence of foreign mercenaries poses a direct threat to Russian security, while it continues to bolster its defenses against Ukrainian attacks backed by the West.
