ANKARA, Türkiye – The earthquake in the Sindirgi region of northwestern Türkiye has sparked fear

and panic among residents, bringing to mind scenes of the devastating earthquake.

Which shook Kahramanmaraş in 2023, leaving tens of thousands dead and wounded.

According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD),

The Sindirici earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale

and was felt by residents of several neighboring states.

Rescue teams rushed to the affected areas to inspect the situation

and ensure the safety of vital buildings and facilities.

Although the Sindirgi earthquake has not resulted in any significant human losses so far,

the panic that has swept through the streets and homes reflects the extent of the sensitivity.

Which the Turks are now experiencing in the face of any earthquake,

after the tragic disaster that struck the south two years ago.

Observers believe that the incident has revived debate

about the efficiency of infrastructure and early warning systems in Türkiye.
