Cairo, Egypt – Cairo News Channel reported that a delegation from Hamas, headed by Political Bureau member Khalil al-Hayya, met in Cairo with a delegation from Fatah,

headed by Hussein al-Sheikh, in the presence of the head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Faraj.

The channel explained that the meeting comes within the framework of internal Palestinian discussions sponsored by Cairo.

the future of the Strip’s

This is to discuss arrangements following the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip,

and the future of the Strip’s administration after the ceasefire is established.

In the same context, Major General Hassan Rashad, head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service,

continued his separate meetings with Palestinian factions,

as he met with the Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine,

The Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement also received,

within the framework of Egyptian efforts to achieve comprehensive national consensus,

And implement the ceasefire plan proposed by the US administration.

An official Palestinian delegation arrived in Cairo,

including Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Hussein al-Sheikh and Major General Majed Faraj.

This is to discuss political developments after the cessation of war.

A delegation from Hamas leadership also arrived in Cairo last Sunday to follow up on the implementation of the truce agreement with mediators.

During a session of the UN Security Council on the situation in Gaza,

the rights of the Palestinian people

The representative of the State of Palestine, Majed Bamieh, called for consolidating the ceasefire and starting reconstruction.

Praising the role of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the United States in calming the situation.

He stressed that a just peace cannot be achieved at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people.

The International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion in which

it unanimously affirmed the prohibition of the use of starvation as a weapon of war.

Holding Israel responsible for the famine and widespread destruction in Gaza, in clear violation of international humanitarian law,

Considering that the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in

the Gaza Strip pose a major challenge to any international efforts to achieve lasting peace.
