Cairo, Egypt – Sudanese Ambassador to Cairo, Lieutenant General Emad El-Din Adawi, praised Egypt’s significant efforts to promote peace and sustainable development in the region, stressing that Cairo continues its pioneering role in supporting regional stability.
In a special statement to Egyptian TV on the sidelines of his participation in the Aswan Forum for Peace and Sustainable Development, Adawi expressed his happiness at participating in the fifth edition of the forum.
He said, “The Arab Republic of Egypt spares no effort to achieve peace and development, especially its significant role recently in the most important event, which is supporting the peace process in Gaza.” He added, “We look forward to participating in such events hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt.”
The fifth edition of the Aswan Forum kicks off
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr. Badr Abdel Aati inaugurated the fifth edition of the forum yesterday, Sunday.
The two-day event, themed “A World in Change… A Continent in Motion: Africa’s Progress Amid Global Transformations,” is being held under the theme: “A World in Change… A Continent in Motion: Africa’s Progress Amid Global Transformations.”
The forum is a prominent platform for dialogue and cooperation between African countries and their international partners. This year’s focus is on how to address current global challenges and enhance opportunities for sustainable development and peacebuilding on the continent.
Egypt and its regional role
The Sudanese ambassador’s praise underscores Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting regional mediation efforts, particularly regarding the Gaza peace process.
In addition to its ongoing efforts to promote African stability and integration through development initiatives and international conferences hosted periodically in Cairo.
