Quneitra, Syria – An Israeli military patrol entered the eastern village of Samdaniya in the central Quneitra countryside in southern Syria on Saturday morning.
The patrol also set up a temporary checkpoint there.
Media reported that “an occupation army patrol set up the checkpoint at the western entrance to the town by surprise.”
In addition, the soldiers stopped a number of civilian cars and asked the passengers to show their ID cards.
She confirmed that Israeli soldiers searched passersby thoroughly, without making any arrests.
She noted that “over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces penetrated several areas in the Daraa and Quneitra countrysides, then later withdrew.”
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, Israel has launched ground incursions into the Damascus, Quneitra, and Daraa countrysides.
It took control of the buffer zone and then moved on to carry out raids in the border areas.
This is in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, the rules of international law, and United Nations resolutions relating to state sovereignty.
