Brussels, Belgium – The European Union decided on Friday to extend the sanctions it imposed on hundreds of Russian officials and entities.
This came after she was accused of supporting the Russian war on Ukraine, according to diplomatic sources.
The sanctions imposed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 include more than 2,500 Russian individuals and entities.
At their head is President Vladimir Putin.
It is supposed to be extended every six months by consensus of the 27 member states.
It provides for freezing assets in the European Union and preventing people from entering the bloc’s territory.
