Cairo, Egypt – Artist Mohamed Marzban passed away today, Wednesday, at the age of 72, succumbing to severe injuries sustained in a horrific car accident on the Cairo-Ismailia road several days ago. He died despite intensive medical efforts to save him.
Serious injuries and urgent surgical interventions
The late artist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition following the accident, suffering from internal bleeding in the brain, chest, and abdomen, as well as bruises and abrasions all over his body. He underwent several emergency surgeries in neurosurgery and orthopedics, but his condition continued to deteriorate over the past five days until he passed away.
Ashraf Zaki announces death
Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of the Actors’ Syndicate, announced this morning, Wednesday, the death of artist Mohamed Marzban, confirming that the syndicate is coordinating with his family to arrange for the transfer of the body to Cairo, in preparation for announcing the date and location of the funeral prayer and burial within the next few hours.

Throughout his artistic career, Mohamed Marzban left a distinctive mark through his participation in numerous television and theatrical productions. His final appearance was in the series “Ward Ala Ful wa Yasmin,” which trended in search results in the hours following the airing of its final episode yesterday, generating widespread audience engagement. The series also starred Saba Mubarak, Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Ismail Farghali, and Fadwa Abed, along with a host of other talented actors, making it one of the last artistic milestones in the late artist’s career.
