Paris, France – French media reports indicate that a large number of concerts by French singer Patrick Bruel have been cancelled following accusations of physical violence and sexual assault made against him by more than 30 women.
Reports spanning more than three decades
Several women filed complaints against Bruel, including allegations of sexual assault and violence that occurred at different times between 1991 and 2024, sparking widespread controversy within artistic and media circles in France.
Summer tour cancelled
French media reports indicate that the artist has decided to cancel his summer tour, which included approximately 15 concerts at various festivals and was scheduled to take place in the coming months. This decision came after mounting pressure surrounding the case, following reports of accusations made against him by around 30 women in recent months.
Pressure on festival organizers
The organizing company said in an official statement that a number of festival organizers reported facing difficulties and pressures that prevented them from holding events in a calm atmosphere, stressing that it did not want to subject organizers or the public to stress due to the controversy surrounding the issue. The statement added that Bruel, in coordination with the festival organizers, made the decision to cancel all concerts scheduled between June and September.
Paris concerts cancelled, autumn dates to continue
The decision also included the cancellation of three concerts scheduled to take place in the French capital, Paris, between June 16 and 18. However, the artist’s management confirmed that the concerts scheduled for October and November are still on and have not been changed.

According to the schedule published on the artist’s official website, the cancellations include approximately 12 concerts spread across France, Belgium, and Switzerland, pending further developments related to the case.
