Paris, France – France has announced the inclusion of 15 historical sites in its “Heritage of Diplomacy” program, a move aimed at highlighting its political and diplomatic history.

It also aims to raise public awareness of the role France has played in shaping international relations over the decades.

Key negotiations and agreements

The French Foreign Ministry confirmed that this initiative aims to open prominent diplomatic sites to the public,

including historic buildings, embassies, and halls that witnessed pivotal negotiations and agreements.

This is an attempt to connect citizens directly with their country’s political history.

Officials explained that the program is not limited to showcasing the buildings.

It also includes documenting the events and meetings that took place within these locations.

This reflects the evolution of French diplomacy and its role in major global issues.

France is strengthening its soft power

This move comes as part of Paris’s efforts to bolster its “soft power” by showcasing its cultural and political heritage.

This is particularly relevant given the growing international competition

to leverage history to enhance its global presence and political influence.

Observers believe the initiative represents a shrewd attempt to re-establish France as a long-established diplomatic power,

capable of capitalizing on its history to support its current presence and reaffirm its position as a key player on the international stage.
