Dubai, UAE – Al Wasl secured a resounding 5-2 victory over Khorfakkan in their match this Friday evening at Zabeel Stadium. This was part of the fourth round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Wasl asserted their dominance from the outset, finishing the first half with a 2-0 lead. Siaka Sidibe opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Nicolas Jimenez added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 23rd minute.
Khorfakkan started the second half better, and Junior Flemings managed to reduce the deficit in the 51st minute. But Al Wasl responded quickly through Pedro Malero, who scored the third goal in the 61st minute.
The excitement continued when Khorfakkan missed a penalty. Then Al Wasl scored their fourth goal in the 77th minute, an own goal by Akram Nakach.
Flemings brought Khorfakkan back into the game with his second personal goal in the 88th minute. However, Renato Junior sealed the victory for Al Wasl by scoring the fifth goal in the second minute of stoppage time.
