Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, stressed that “Union Era Day” is a milestone in the history of the UAE. Which today proceeds with confidence in preserving its union, enhancing its achievements, and rooting the values and principles on which it was founded, so that they remain firmly rooted in the conscience of the people of the country and an inspiration for future generations.

He said on the X platform: “On the anniversary of the ‘Etihad Day’, we renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to our union, our land and our flag, adhering to the values of unity established by the founding father, Sheikh Zayed, and his ruling brothers, may God bless their souls.” And loyal to their immortal national heritage.

في ذكرى "يوم عهد الاتحاد" نجدد العهد بالولاء والانتماء لاتحادنا وأرضنا وعَلمنا، متمسكين بقيم الوحدة التي أرساها الوالد المؤسس الشيخ زايد وإخوانه الحكام، طيب الله ثراهم، وأوفياء لإرثهم الوطني الخالد. توقيع بيان الاتحاد ودستور الدولة في 18 يوليو عام 1971 يعد علامة فارقة في تاريخ…

He added: “The signing of the Union Statement and the State Constitution on July 18, 1971 is a milestone in the history of the Emirates, which today moves forward with confidence in preserving its union”. Strengthening its achievements and consolidating the values and principles on which it was founded so that they remain firmly rooted in the conscience of the people of the country and inspiring future generations.
