Stockholm, Sweden – On Saturday, Sweden’s round of competitions for the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses will be held. The second European stop on the agenda of the 33rd edition of the World Racing Series. This took place at the Gardet Grass Track in Stockholm, coinciding with the National Day celebrations of the Kingdom of Sweden.
The Cup Racing Series continues its distinguished successes in its world tours, and its pioneering role in enhancing the status of purebred Arabian horses on the most prestigious tracks. Through qualitative races that contribute to encouraging the acquisition and care of Arabian horses, and developing their presence in major international festivals and races. In a way that preserves his legacy and authentic career, and keeps pace with the UAE’s vision of supporting Arabian horse owners and breeders around the world.
The Tour of Sweden is one of the most prominent Arabian horse races in Scandinavia, with the participation of 10 of the elite Arabian horses in Sweden and Europe. To compete over a distance of 1,500 grass metres, within the Lested category, designated for purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above.
The Swedish station holds an important place in the precious cup calendar. It represents a growing presence on European tracks, and increasing interest from owners, breeders and cleavers. In addition to the race’s connection to the atmosphere of the Kingdom of Sweden’s National Day celebrations, which gives the event a great public and media dimension. It enhances the value of the Swedish tour in the Arab horse racing scene.
The Swedish summit will witness a special meeting that brings together a group of former champions and prominent horses. They are led by the horse “Freddy B”, champion of the 2023 and 2024 editions, along with the mare “Freddy B”, champion of the 2025 edition.
Also prominent in the meeting of the strong is the horse “Wasmi Al-Khalidiya”, a descendant of “Ghazanfar Al-Khalidiya × Shadha Al-Khalidiya”, the runner-up of last year’s edition. Along with “Paso T”, he is a descendant of “Murtajez × Porta T”, and “No Risk no Reward”.
Participants also include Cappuccino, Tom Jackper, Fire on the Track, Malacca, and Zarca DA.
