Details of the targeting of the field commander
The statement explained that targeting Abd Harb was a result of his direct involvement in planning and managing attacks against Israeli forces operating in Lebanese territory. According to Israeli claims, Harb held a pivotal role as commander of Hezbollah’s engineering unit. This unit is responsible for planting and deploying improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeting Israeli vehicles and soldiers.
The Israeli army also indicated that the slain man was not just an ordinary field commander, but a veteran leader within Hezbollah.
