Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also confirmed the UAE’s support for the measures taken by Bahraini security forces following the arrest of 15 individuals.
Manama stated that these individuals were working to implement seditious directives linked to agents of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Praise for the efficiency of the Bahraini security services
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed explained that the UAE supports all steps taken by Bahrain to protect its security and sovereignty.
The UAE also supports maintaining Bahrain’s stability and the safety of its society,
emphasizing the importance of confronting threats targeting the security and stability of nations.
The UAE Foreign Minister praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Bahraini security services
and their success in uncovering the cell linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
He also commended the security services for taking the necessary legal measures against its members.
He affirmed that these efforts reflect the ability of Bahraini security institutions to counter plots
aimed at inciting sedition and destabilizing security and stability within the Kingdom.
Rejecting terrorism and foreign agendas
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the UAE’s categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism and organizations linked to foreign agendas.
He also stressed the necessity of strengthening regional and international cooperation
to confront these challenges and mitigate their risks to the region’s security.
He added that joint coordination among countries is a fundamental pillar in confronting organizations
and entities that seek to undermine stability and security.
The UAE Foreign Minister affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain is
an integral part of the security of the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
He also reiterated the UAE’s full support for all measures taken by Bahrain
to protect its security and stability and safeguard its national achievements.
These statements come after the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced
the arrest of 15 individuals it said were linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The Ministry stated that they were working to implement agendas targeting security and stability within the Kingdom.
