Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Ports Group and E&Emarat announced on Thursday the successful deployment of a high-capacity, AI-ready terrestrial connectivity system. It links the most prominent maritime and logistics assets within the Abu Dhabi Ports Group portfolio.
The new high-capacity network expands Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s digital land infrastructure to more than 1,000 kilometers. Providing a seamless link between the group’s strategic assets in Abu Dhabi. It enables the continuous flow of huge amounts of sensor data, video streaming and IoT signals. Creating a fully integrated environment ready for machine learning and automated decision making applications.
This high-bandwidth ground architecture is designed with extremely low response time. To form a solid foundation for artificial intelligence models to process data and provide instant inference services within fractions of a second.
This strategic project represents a significant new milestone in Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s digital transformation journey. It enhances its digital resilience across its growing global business portfolio.
In 2025, the group announced the gradual launch of satellite communication services in low Earth orbit (LEO) as part of its global operations. With the aim of enabling real-time data exchange with ships and providing constant connectivity to ports and terminals. Which contributes to achieving new efficiencies and saving fuel consumption.
By integrating its terrestrial digital architecture with low-Earth orbit satellite services and existing radio networks, the group has established a flexible, multi-layered communications architecture. So that it ensures the flow of data in a sovereign and continuous manner in various circumstances.
