Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 443 inmates from the emirate’s correctional and penal institutions.
The decision included those who had received various sentences but met the criteria for pardon, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

The decision comes as part of the UAE’s commitment to giving those released
a new opportunity to reintegrate into society and resume their normal lives alongside their families.
This reflects the deeply rooted values of forgiveness and tolerance in the UAE.
The release order followed a directive from Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.
He instructed the Pardon Committee to prepare the necessary lists and coordinate
with the relevant judicial and security authorities to implement the initiative.
The relevant authorities confirmed that this step aims to enhance opportunities
for the inmates’ social rehabilitation and encourages them to return as productive members of society.
Emphasis on tolerance
For his part, Counselor Hassan Saeed Muhaimid, Attorney General of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, expressed his gratitude for the pardon.
This gesture reflects the leadership’s keenness to bring joy to the families of inmates during this blessed occasion.
He pointed out that the pardon represents a genuine opportunity for those released to begin
a new chapter based on adherence to the law and respect for societal values.
This decision comes as part of a series of pardon initiatives issued
by the leadership of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah during religious and national holidays.
These initiatives aim to support family stability and strengthen the humanitarian and social dimensions of the justice and reform system.
