Dubai, UAE – ENOC Group and Emirates Petroleum Company (Emirates) signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a framework for a business continuity plan to provide aviation fuel supplies.
A statement said that this strategic cooperation aims to enhance coordination and improve the reliability of aviation fuel supply operations. This reflects a shared commitment to the continuity and flexibility of operational operations and adherence to aviation sector standards.
The Memorandum of Understanding also establishes a structured framework for joint cooperation. It includes clear procedures to support fuel supply management and immediate coordination of pipeline fuel transportation and truck loading operations, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
The business continuity plan will provide documented procedures to guide the response and resume operations of the two institutions.
The plan will also include periodic tests, exercises and training for employees. Along with equipment and communication testing to maintain the highest levels of operational readiness.
Advanced logistics solutions
Enoc Group CEO Hussein Sultan Lootah said, “The partnership with (Emirates) enhances the group’s proactive approach to business continuity planning”. This is achieved by leveraging shared expertise to ensure smooth operations in the UAE’s aviation sector, enhancing the country’s position as a global aviation hub.
He added: “Through this partnership, (INOC) and (Emirates) will work on advanced logistical solutions and coordinated emergency response strategies to ensure continued uninterrupted fuel supplies”.
Enhancing operational flexibility
For his part, CEO of Emirates Petroleum Company, Burhan Al Hashemi, said: “Ensuring the continuity of fuel supplies to the aviation sector represents a national responsibility that we (the Emirates) pay the utmost attention to”. This memorandum with (INOC) constitutes a practical framework for unifying our joint efforts and readiness.
He added: “By coordinating our efforts and standardizing our procedures in advance, this enhances our operational flexibility and ensures uninterrupted fuel supplies”. This reliability is vital for travelers, airlines and the broader economy that depends on the UAE’s leadership in the aviation sector.
