Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Kazakhstani Renata Sultanova, Asian individual time trial champion and Emirates cycling team player, achieved a new victory after winning the title of the second and final stage of the Fergana Women’s Grand Prix, in Uzbekistan. Which concluded on Tuesday.
Sultanova gave a strong performance after finishing fourth in the opening stage. She returned strongly and decided the second stage in her favor after a successful attack, with which she finished the race alone after a distance of 91 kilometers.
Sultanova crossed the finish line 29 seconds ahead of China’s Haixin Dong of XDS China Women. Indonesian Ayustina Delia Briatna, and Uzbek Yanina Koskova from the “Queen Sport” team.
Thanks to her results in both stages, Sultanova finished second overall in the race. 1 minute and 7 seconds behind Chinese Hao Zhang.
