Dubai, UAE – The UAE announced that it is following US President Donald Trump’s announcement regarding a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Confirming its endeavor to obtain further clarifications regarding the terms of the agreement to ensure Iran’s full commitment to immediately stop any hostile actions in the region. And the complete and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the treacherous Iranian attacks targeted infrastructure, energy facilities and civilian sites during the past 40 days. Which included about 2,819 ballistic missiles, mobile phones, and drones, and the resulting human and material losses, requiring firm positions. With Iran held accountable and full compensation for damages and losses.

Addressing Iranian threats

The ministry noted that addressing Iranian threats must be comprehensive and complete, including nuclear capabilities, ballistic missiles, and drones. And military capabilities, its agents and terrorist arms in the region, and stopping threats targeting freedom of navigation, economic warfare and piracy in the Strait of Hormuz. Expressing her hope to achieve sustainable peace for all countries of the region.

The UAE asserted that it was not a party to this war and made intensive diplomatic efforts to prevent it from occurring. It included bilateral channels and movements through the Gulf Cooperation Council. Stressing the need for Iran to implement Security Council Resolution No. (2817), which condemned the Iranian attacks and demanded their immediate cessation.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed during telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Bolivia the importance of ensuring Iran’s full commitment to immediately stop any hostile actions in the region.

Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz

The UAE called for the complete and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and an end to threats to freedom of navigation, international trade, energy security, and the global economy.

Amid this scene, the UAE recorded an epic defensive victory in the face of Iranian aggression over a period of 40 days. Its armed forces have proven their qualitative efficiency in confronting the aggression and its missiles and drones, which have totaled 2,819 missiles and drones since the beginning of the aggression.

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE, affirmed that the UAE was victorious with an epic national defense that preserved sovereignty and dignity and protected achievements in the face of brutal aggression. He stressed via the “X” platform that the UAE is moving towards managing a complex regional scene with greater balance and more accurate knowledge. Arsukh’s ability to influence and shape the future.

His Excellency concluded: “Our strength, resilience and steadfastness have strengthened the UAE’s renaissance model.”
