Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office announced on Friday that UAE air defenses successfully intercepted a hostile projectile over the emirate.
The office explained that the successful interception resulted in debris falling in the Habshan gas facilities area. A fire also broke out at the site.
The relevant authorities confirmed that fire and emergency teams responded immediately to the fire to control it and prevent its spread. They indicated that operations at the facility were temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. The statement reassured the public that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and confirmed that work is underway to assess the material damage and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
