Dubai, UAE – During a meeting with Li Xianjing, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing, the Dubai Chambers discussed ways to enhance strategic partnerships and support the growth of trade and investment movement between Dubai and China.
During the meeting, with the participation of His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, the focus was on developing bilateral work to enhance ties between business communities.
The meeting focused on discussing prospects for opportunities in sectors of common interest. Especially the digital economy, science, healthcare and industry.

Lootah said that China’s position as Dubai’s largest trading partner reflects the strategic importance of economic relations between Dubai and China. Adding the UAE’s commitment to expanding cooperation with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing to develop more promising opportunities in a wide range of sectors. Foremost among these is the digital economy and advanced industries, and we are keen to continue advancing constructive partnership and joint work to achieve common interests.
Memorandum of Understanding
Dubai Chambers concluded a memorandum of understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Beijing, during the Dubai Business Forum – China. Organized by the Dubai Chambers in Beijing in August 2024. With the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and supporting companies that are members of the Council in establishing and expanding their investments in Dubai. With a focus on supporting the interests of the business community in Dubai and China. In parallel with helping companies operating in Dubai conclude promising partnerships with their counterparts in China, and expand their businesses in Chinese markets.
