Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the UAE’s strong condemnation of the foiled terrorist plot in Kuwait,
affirming his country’s full solidarity with Kuwait in confronting any threat targeting its security and stability.
Strong Emirati condemnation
Abdullah bin Zayed affirmed that the uncovered terrorist plot constitutes a grave criminal act,
particularly given its connection to Hezbollah and its efforts to carry out assassinations and recruit members within the country,
thus posing a direct threat to Kuwaiti national security.
He noted that such terrorist acts contravene human values and international law,
and necessitate a firm stance from the international community to deter them and prevent their recurrence.
Full support for Kuwait
UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the UAE’s support
for Kuwait in all measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty,
affirming that Kuwait’s security is an integral part of the UAE’s own security.
He also praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Kuwaiti security services,
which successfully thwarted the plot and uncovered its perpetrators,
reflecting the readiness of security institutions to confront such threats.
A call to strengthen international cooperation
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reiterated the UAE’s firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism,
stressing the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to confront these dangerous phenomena.
He emphasized that the current stage requires greater coordination
among countries to cut off the sources of terrorism and pursue extremist organizations,
thereby contributing to enhancing security and stability in the region and protecting societies from escalating threats.
